Algeria Army Kills Suspect in Frenchman's Beheading
[AnNahar] Algerian Justice Minister Tayeb Louh said on Wednesday that the army last month killed a jihadist suspected of taking part in the beheading of Frenchie Herve Gourdel.

"One of the suspects was eliminated in October by the army during an anti-terrorist operation," Louh told news hounds, citing a probe into the murder of Gourdel.

The hiker was kidnapped in September and later beheaded by Jund al-Khilifa, or "Soldiers of the Caliphate," a bully boy organization which has pledged allegiance to the jihadist Islamic State

Gunmen Kill 3 Egyptian Police in Sinai
[AnNahar] Gunmen rubbed out on Wednesday three Egyptian coppers in the Sinai Peninsula, where forces of Evil regularly launch attacks on security forces, the interior ministry said.

The three coppers, including a colonel, were traveling in a pick-up truck in North Sinai's scenic provincial capital El-Arish when assailants in a car shot at them and fled, the ministry said in a statement.

The attack came several days after two coppers were killed in a roadside kabooming at the entrance to the town.

Egypt's military is battling an Islamist insurgency in the peninsula that has left scores of coppers and soldiers dead since the army overthrew Islamist President Mohammed Morsi last year and cracked down on his supporters.

The government declared a state of emergency in parts of North Sinai after an October 24 suicide kaboom near El-Arish killed at least 30 soldiers in the deadliest assault on security forces since Morsi's ouster.

Militant groups claim their attacks are in retaliation for a government crackdown targeting Islamists that has left hundreds dead and thousands tossed in the calaboose

Egypt Court Sentences 78 Minors To Prison Over Protests
[Ynet] An Egyptian judicial official says a court has sentenced 78 minors to up to five years in prison over their participation in Islamist demonstrations.

Alexandria Misdemeanor Juvenile Court issued its ruling Wednesday. A court official says the minors, between 13 and 17, faced several charges including blocking traffic, setting tires ablaze and sabotaging private properties. The sentences can be appealed.
The Times of Israel adds details:
An Egyptian court sentenced 78 teenage boys to between two and five years in prison Wednesday for joining protests demanding the return of the ousted Islamist president, judicial sources said.

The authorities have engaged in a crackdown on Mohammed Morsi's supporters since the army deposed him last year, with hundreds jugged

On Wednesday a court in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria sentenced 78 boys aged between 13 and 17 for joining the blacklisted Moslem Brüderbund's rallies in the past three months, a judicial official said.

Army Tracks Rebels after DRCongo Massacre
[AnNahar] The Congolese army on Wednesday searched for suspected Ugandan rebels in villages in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
, following the massacre of around 100 people last week, the U.N. said.

The army followed leads from locals around Beni, near the sites of last Thursday's killings, according to the Twitter account of U.N. mission MONUSCO.

Mainly Moslem Ugandan rebels have been blamed for killing more than 200 civilians in machete attacks since October in the restive North Kivu province, where Beni lies.

Local officials said the army had cordoned off the area where Thursday's massacre took place, while MONUSCO forces were patrolling the region.

The army locked away
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
34 gunnies and 10 civilians on Monday, and recovered 24 weapons, according to MONUSCO.

In January, the Congolese army and MONUSCO soldiers began an offensive against Ugandan rebels from the National Army for the Liberation of Uganda (ADF-NALU), the last major myrmidon group active in the region.

Initially, they thought they had severely weakened them, but the rebels have bounced back since the death in August of Congolese army chief General Jean-Lucien Bahuma.

A MONUSCO police patrol was ambushed near Beni last Thursday, leaving no officers injured despite a lengthy shootout.

The Beni massacre came as security deteriorated across Nord Kivu.

The U.N. on Wednesday deplored the death of a humanitarian worker in an ambush two days earlier in the southeast of the province.

The employee was a Congolese worker from the International Rescue Committee, according to a humanitarian source.

Boko Haram Kills 20 Villagers
[Ynet] A Nigerian civilian defense officer says suspected Islamic murderous Moslem gunnies killed at least 20 people in an attack Monday on two villages on the outskirts of Chibok, the northeastern town where more than 200 schoolgirls were kidnapped in April.

Muhammed Abbas Gava, front man of a Nigerian civilian militia said that attackers struck Kamtahi and Galtimari villages Monday evening, burning houses and forcing residents to flee.

Borno State police command front man, Gideon Jubrin, said he was not aware of the incident.

7 Killed In Rebel Attack On House Of Yemen Leader
[Ynet] Yemeni Iranian catspaws attacked and occupied the seat of power of an influential tribe in the capital Wednesday, following festivities that killed six of the guards and one fighter, security officials and rebel media said.

The rebels, known as Houthis, blamed the guards of al-Ahmar tribe for the festivities. Al-Masira TV station, allied with the Houthis, said the tribal fighters attacked a checkpoint erected by the rebels, setting off the festivities in the northern Sanaa district of Hassaba.

Bangladesh
Two Bangladesh Islamic Militants to Hang for Killing Police Aide
[AnNahar] A Bangladesh court on Wednesday sentenced to death two Islamic bully boyz for gunning down a police informant eight years ago, a prosecutor said.

A fast-track court handed down the sentences after earlier convicting the pair, both in their 20s and members of banned krazed killer outfit Jamayetul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), said prosecutor Taslima Yesmin.

One of the men protested against the severity of the sentence, shouting out that he was a minor at the time of the shooting in 2006.

"They were found guilty of obstructing state duties and shooting at a police source on December 29, 2006. The source later died in a hospital," Yesmin told Agence La Belle France Presse.

"Both were sentenced to hang," she added.

The pair, one of whom was 14 at the time, started firing at police and the informant who tried to stop them at a traffic post in the northern district of Tangail on suspicion of smuggling explosives.

Bangladesh banned the JMB in 2005 when it carried out a series of suicide kabooms and nationwide synchronized kabooms of more than 400 small bombs.

The blasts killed 28 people in total, including secular activists and two judges.

The bombings raised concerns at the time of a rise in Islamic militancy in the moderate Moslem-majority nation.

The government promptly launched a nationwide crackdown against krazed killer outfits, arresting more than a thousand members including six of JMB's top leaders who were executed in 2007.

Around 100 members of various outfits are currently on death row for krazed killer-related crimes with their appeals ongoing in higher courts.

JMB was behind a kaboom across the border in eastern India last month that left two people dead, according to Indian media reports.

Defense lawyer Faruque Ahmed said he would appeal on the grounds that one of those convicted, Saiful Islam, was a minor when the shooting occurred.

"The judge acknowledged that Saiful was a minor at the time of the crime. But he said he could not consider Saiful's young age because the crimes were committed against the state," Ahmed told AFP.

Britain
British brothers jailed for attending militant training camp in Syria
[TODAYONLINE] Two brothers from London on Wednesday became the first Britons to be convicted for attending a bully boy training camp in Syria as Western governments increasingly warn of the threat posed by fighters returning from conflicts in the Middle East.

Finding them guilty of conspiracy to attend a terrorist training camp, the judge at London's Old Bailey sentenced Mohommod Hassin Nawaz, 31, and his 23-year-old brother Hamza Nawaz, to four and three-and-a-half years in jail respectively.

The sentence comes as the British government brings in a new security bill to tackle Britons trying to travel to Syria and Iraq, and to deal with returning fighters, who it says pose a serious risk to national security.

The brothers were tossed in the calaboose
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
in September 2013 after ammunition for rifles, cash and a balaclava were found in their car at the southeastern port of Dover, where they had arrived on a ferry from Calais.

Police found communications on their phones which indicated they had attended a training camp in the Latakia province of Syria.

"The sentence highlights the critical work police and security services carry out to identify individuals returning from conflict zones," said London police's Counter Terrorism Acting Commander Terri Nicholson.

"This comes at a time when the global concern about the threat posed by returnees is intensifying."

Some 500 Britons are thought by the authorities to have traveled to Syria and Iraq, and around half have returned home.

On Monday, Home Secretary (interior minister) Theresa May warned that Britannia was facing the biggest terrorism threat in its history, and said about 40 major plots had been thwarted since suicide kabooms killed 52 people in London in 2005.
Ynet adds:
Police say they were carrying AK-47 ammunition brought home as a trophy as well as photos and videos from their time in Syria.

Judge Christopher Moss told the brothers they had been training "to support the rebel fighting in Syria."

"In fairness to you both there is no evidence of you actually engaged in such fighting," he said. The brothers -- whose family had contacted police to report them missing -- returned from Syria after a few weeks.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Damage assessed after hundreds displaced by Dagestan operation
Clamor from displaced residents has caused Russian authorities to assess damage inflicted by military and security forces during an operation targeting militant suspects in Dagestan.

Nearly 1,000 residents of Vremenny, in Dagestan's central Untsukul district, were driven from their homes in September as a result of a large-scale "counterterrorism operation." A commission to assess the damage was recently established after residents addressed letters of protest to President Vladimir Putin and Dagestan's leader, Ramazan Abdulatipov, seeking compensation in order to repair their homes or move elsewhere in Dagestan.

The commission was due to start work on November 26 under the leadership of Zapir Akhmedov, deputy head of Untsukul District.

Residents said that the troops had isolated the settlement from the outside world, searching houses, taking away local men, damaging homes and infrastucture, and forcing the closure of its only hospital and school.

Aliaskhab Magomedov, the head of Gimry, which includes Vremenny, said on November 25 that the assessment would take four days. He said nobody will be allowed to enter Vremenny until every house and every household is fully inspected and damages are assessed.

Magomedov said security forces had started to leave Vremenny and their number was estimated to be one tenth of the number in mid-September. He said a military checkpoint near Vremenny will remain in place.

Magomedov also said that a mountain road tunnel connecting Gimry to the city of Buinaksk will reopen after the commission finishes its work.

Bulgaria charges radical imam, six others with supporting Islamic State
[TODAYONLINE] A Bulgaria holy man and six others detained during a special operation by security forces earlier this week have been charged with supporting the ultra-radical Death Eater group Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
, Bulgarian prosecutors said on Wednesday.

Charges against Moslem prayer leader Ahmed Mussa, five men and one woman include propagating an anti-democratic ideology and incitement to war, both verbally and with videos and images, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov said.

Islamic State, who control territory in Iraq and Syria, have carried out brutal killings of civilians, including highly publicized beheadings of foreign journalists and aid workers. The group has been targeted by U.S.-led air strikes.

Western governments fear their own citizens who have joined the group to fight could return and carry out attacks at home.

Bulgarian security forces raided more than 40 homes and a mosque in southern Bulgaria on Tuesday to seize books and computers in a special operation aimed at uncovering radical Islamist activities.

Some 26 people were held for 24 hours and 30 witnesses were questioned during the operation, conducted by more than 400 coppers, security agents, prosecutors and Sherlocks.

"(Mussa) is an intelligent man, so he has accepted the prosecutors' decision and he has not expressed indignation regarding his detention," Elvira Pankova, Mussa's lawyer, told news hounds.

Investigators discovered a large number of shirts, hats, flags and banners with the logo of the Islamic State.

Sarafov said that Mussa, a former Christian of Roma origin who converted to Islam in 2000 while working in Vienna, had preached surrounded by the Islamic State flags.

The imam had told his followers to be prepared to fight against Christianity to achieve the ultimate goal of establishing a global caliphate, according to Sarafov.
An Nahar adds some details:
Bulgarian prosecutors on Wednesday charged a controversial imam and six others with inciting jihad and accused the group of serving as a link for Westerners seeking to join Islamic State fighters.

Ahmed Mossa Ahmed, a Bulgaria holy man in a tight-knit Roma neighborhood in southern Bulgaria, was detained Tuesday along with five men and one woman in a massive operation by police and prosecutors that included a raid on a mosque.

According to Sarafov, Ahmed had followers from Roma Moslem communities in Germany, La Belle France and the Netherlands and the Bulgarian group was serving as a link for western Europeans wanting to join IS fighters in Syria and Iraq.

Ahmed was already twice given jail time, including as recently as March, for promoting radical ideology in mosques, conferences and cafes. But he remained free pending appeal.

The office of the country's Chief Mufti, the spiritual leader of Bulgaria's Moslems, meanwhile distanced itself from the suspects.

A majority Christian Orthodox country, Bulgaria also has a 13-percent Moslem population, including ethnic Turks, Moslem Roma and Pomaks, whose Christian ancestors were forced to convert to Islam during the country's Ottoman domination.

Two Americans Charged with Supporting IS

group, the Justice Department said Tuesday.

Somali Americans Abdi Nur, 20, and Abdullahi Yusuf, 18, have been charged with "conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, namely, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant
... the current version of al-Qaeda in Iraq, just as blood-thirsty and well-beloved as the original...
(ISIL)," Assistant Attorney General John Carlin said.

Yusuf was to appear in court Tuesday in Minneapolis, where there is a large Somali American community.

Abdi Nur, who traveled May 29 to Turkey, through which many jihadists pass en route to fight with IS, was to have returned to the United States June 16 but did not, the statement added.

"More than 16,000 recruits from over 90 countries traveled to Syria to become foreign terrorist fighters with alarming consequences," said Carlin.

"This is a global crisis and we will continue our efforts to prevent Americans from joining the fight and to hold accountable those who provide material support to foreign terrorist organizations," he added. "With these two defendants, we have now charged more than 15 individuals with offenses related to the foreign fighter threat in Syria."

Yusuf in Minneapolis sought an expedited U.S. passport for his trip to Turkey, but could not give an itinerary or explain the source of his funds for his trip, as he was unemployed, authorities said.

U.S. Drone Strike Kills at Least Eight in NW Pakistan
[AnNahar] A U.S. drone strike killed at least eight suspected forces of Evil in Pakistain's restive tribal belt on Wednesday, security officials said.

"The drone fired two missiles, killing at least eight people and injuring two others," a security official in the area told AFP via phone on condition of anonymity.

"There may be more dead bodies under the rubble," he said.

An intelligence official in the area confirmed the attack and said forces of Evil loyal to the warlord Gul Bahadur and the feared Haqqani network operate in the area, as well as foreign Uzbek fighters.

also confirmed the strike and said the Haqqani network and foreign forces of Evil are active in the area.

The strike came a day after Pak jet fighters killed 20 suspected members of the Haqqani network, accused of some of the bloodiest attacks in Afghanistan including a blast that left 57 people dead last weekend.

In a similar attack on October 30, a U.S. drone strike killed at least seven forces of Evil including an important commander of the Haqqani network in the village of Nargas in South Waziristan.

Security officials at the time said the commander Abdullah Haqqani was responsible for sending jacket wallahs to Afghanistan.

North Waziristan is one of the seven lawless tribal districts that border Afghanistan. It has long been a hub for al-Qaeda and Talibs.

The area is generally off-limits to journalists, making it difficult to independently verify the number and identity of the dead.

U.S. drone strike in Pakistan kills five suspected militants
[TODAYONLINE] A U.S. drone killed five suspected snuffies in northwest Pakistain on Wednesday, a turban and a government official said, as the intensity of air strikes grew as part of an anti-Taliban offensive by the Pak military.

The drone strike hit a house in Datta Khel, near the Afghan border, which was used by turbans, said a turban in the area. Those killed were Pak fighters, the turban said.

"The Government of Pakistain condemns the drone strike that took place in the early hours of Wednesday, 26 November 2014 at Garga, north of Shawal in North Wazoo Agency," the government said in a statement.

The Bureau of Investigative Journalist, which tracks drone strikes using media reports, says there have been 20 strikes so far this year.

The United States says it targets snuffies in the drone strikes, but does not release details about individual strikes. Some of them have killed civilians, although the majority of the dead are suspected turbans.

Pakistain usually protests about the drone strikes, saying they are an infringement of its illusory sovereignty. But many say the military has given its tacit acceptance, and point to the fact that were halted in Pakistain for six months earlier this year while the government tried to negotiate peace with the Taliban.

The attempt failed and the strikes resumed days before the military launched an anti-Taliban offensive in the border region of North Waziristan on June 15.

There has been little ground fighting in the offensive so far. Most of the casualties the military has reported come from air raids. On Tuesday, the military said it had killed 20 snuffies in aerial bombing.

The region is closed to journalists and most civilians were ordered to leave their homes before the fighting started, making it difficult to get independent witness accounts of the situation.

jihadist group, officers said.

Kurdish peshmerga forces also engaged in hours of heavy fighting in Kirkuk province in northern Iraq against IS, which spearheaded a major offensive in June that overran key parts of the country.

"We are defending and protecting the governmental complex" in Ramadi, said police Colonel Hamid Shandukh, adding bandidos Lions of Islam were within a few hundred meters (yards) of the governor's office.

The fighting began when soldiers and police pulled back from Al-Hoz, an area that stretches from Ramadi's south to its center, Shandukh said, adding the government complex area was now being defended by security forces and hundreds of rustics.

Another officer, Colonel Salah Arrak al-Alwani, also confirmed fighting in central Ramadi, and said it had been going on for nine hours.

"If we lose Anbar, that means we will lose Iraq," the province's governor, Ahmed al-Dulaimi, told Al-Anbar television from Germany, where he is recovering after being maimed by a mortar round in September.

"I will very soon be with the tribes and the security forces in Anbar to fight" the Islamic State group, Dulaimi said.

Parts of Ramadi and all of Fallujah,
... the City of Mosques, which might have somthing to do with why it's not called Center of Prosperity or a really nice place to raise your kids...
to its east, have been outside government control since the beginning of the year, but much more of the province has since been overrun by IS, prompting warnings it could fall completely.

Iraqi security forces wilted under the initial June IS onslaught, but are now backed by U.S.-led air strikes, international advisers, Shiite gunnies and Sunni tribes, and have begun to claw back some areas.

Kurdish peshmerga forces have also battled IS across a front stretching from the border with Syria to Iran, sometimes in concert with federal forces and other times alone.

On Wednesday, the peshmerga held off a major attack by IS forces in the oil-rich province of Kirkuk,
... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time...
officers said.

"They are targeting Kirkuk and they want to control the oil sites," said peshmerga Major General Westa Rasul.

The attack began early on Wednesday morning against three villages west of the city of Kirkuk, sparking fighting that lasted for hours, Rasul and two other officers said.

IS managed to seize one village, but Kurdish forces backed by air strikes later succeeded in retaking it.

One policeman and five peshmerga, including a colonel and the son of a Kurdish politician, were killed and 28 maimed in the fighting, officers and a doctor said.

When federal security forces crumbled under the weight of the June offensive, Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region took control of a swathe of disputed northern territory it wants to incorporate against Baghdad's wishes.

But IS turned its attention north in August, driving Kurdish troops back toward their regional capital Arbil and helping spark the U.S.-led air campaign.

Backed by the strikes, Kurdish troops have regained territory from IS, but the group still holds parts of Kirkuk province and other northern areas.

#2  Obviously the brutality of IS, Daesh, or whoever, is now playing against them as the Iraqi Army realizes that their lives and the lives of their wives and children are at stake. It is now a battle for survival and people become much braver when they have their children's lives at stake.

I pray that is the case and the Iraqi Army prevails.

Gazann Gunmen Shoot At Idf Patrol, Idf Tank Responds
[AnNahar] On Thursday, suspected Paleostinian gunnies in Gazoo shot at an Israeli military jeep near the border, drawing retaliatory tank fire into the Paleostinian enclave, the army said.

Medical sources in Gazoo said nobody was maimed in the exchange.

"Shots were fired from Gazoo at an IDF (army) routine patrol operating along the fence. No injuries were reported, the vehicle was damaged," the Israeli military said.

"In response, a shell was fired towards the source of fire," it said in a statement.

Interior Minister To Deport Widow Of Har Nof Terrorist
[IsraelTimes] Interior Minister Gilad Erdan canceled the residency permit of the widow of one of the Har Nof synagogue killers on Wednesday, effectively deporting her out of Israeli territory and stripping her of any financial or social benefits.

In a statement posted to his Facebook page, the interior minister said Nadia Abu Jamal had been granted entry to Israel on the basis of the "family reunification" law after marrying one of the terrorists-to-be, Ghassan Abu Jamal, a resident of East Jerusalem.

"All those weighing whether to engage in terror, all those thinking about harming innocent citizens, all those involved in terror, need to take into account that there will likely be repercussions, not only personally, but for their families as well," Erdan wrote.

Nadia Abu Jamal will be deported to Paleostinian Authority-controlled territory, where she is from, Channel 2 reported.

Israel annexed what had been the Jordanian-controlled East Jerusalem after capturing the area in 1967's Six Day War and offered permanent residence status to its inhabitants.

East Jerusalem residents generally have Israeli papers that enable them to travel freely about the city and enjoy the social benefits awarded to Israeli citizens.

Human rights group rights B'Tselem slammed the decision to revoke Abu Jamal's residency permit.

"We object to this measure. It's abuse of a minister's authority and a form of collective punishment," spokeswoman Sarit Michaeli told AFP. "She isn't accused of any harm, and the revoking of her residency status will actually mean she will be banished from her home and thrown out of the city she lives in.

"Residency and social benefits... aren't gifts or favors the authorities bestow and can then take away. They're essential aspects of people's existence," Michaeli said.

Erdan's move comes as Israel has been stepping up its efforts against bully boyz and their families, including renewing the controversial practice of home demolitions, and withholding the bodies of the Paleostinian operatives from their families.

The families of Uday and Ghassan Abu Jamal, cousins from East Jerusalem's Jabel Mukaber neighborhood who perpetrated the deadly terror attack last week at a synagogue in the capital's Har Nof neighborhood, were said to receive demolition orders for their homes last Thursday. However,
a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth...
the structures have yet to be razed. The Israeli government is also withholding the bodies of the two cousins, who were rubbed out at the scene by police, as a punitive measure.

The Abu Jamal cousins stormed a Har Nof synagogue on Tuesday morning, killing Rabbi Moshe Twersky, Aryeh Kupinsky, Rabbi Kalman Levine and Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Goldberg. Zidan Saif, a policeman, was critically hurt by gunfire, and later succumbed to his wounds, bringing the corpse count to five.

Home demolition orders were issued to the families of three other East Jerusalem terrorists, while the Silwan home of Abdelrahman al-Shaludi was destroyed last week. The 21-year-old Paleostinian from East Jerusalem had rammed his car into Israeli pedestrians in October, killing 3-month-old Chaya Zissel Braun and Karen Yemima Muscara, an Ecuadorean woman studying in the city, and was killed by security forces.

The punitive measure has been condemned by the international community. Last week, US State Department front man Jeff Rathke said the demolitions "are counterproductive in an already tense situation."

"This is a practice I would remind that the Israeli government itself discontinued in the past, recognizing its effects," he said.
That was before it was coupled with other measures. Let's give this new plan a several year trial before re-assessing impacts.
On Sunday, Erdan revoked the permanent residency of an East Jerusalem man who drove a jacket wallah to his destination in 2001 to carry out a deadly attack which claimed the lives of 21 Israelis.

At the same time, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would pass a bill that would to do the same to East Jerusalemites who incite against Israel. A preliminary version of the bill was presented on Tuesday by MK Yariv Levin.

Five Abu Sayyaf men slain in Basilan encounter
At least five Abu Sayyaf militants were killed in an encounter with Philippine troops on the island province of Basilan.

Captain Rowena Muyuela said no soldiers were hurt in the encounter that occurred on Monday in the town of Sumisip in Basilan. During the encounter in a remote mountain village of Sumisip, the soldiers also captured a camp believed to have been used by the militants to makee improvised bombs and also recovered heavy weapons and ammunition.

Muyuela said security forces launched the campaign against the rebels who ambushed and killed a junior military officer and five of his men assigned to guard an important road project, partially funded by the Saudis, in Basilan. The construction has been delayed by frequent Abu Sayyaf attacks, according to Muyuela.

Meanwhile, police reported the arrest of a suspected member of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) in the town of Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao province. The suspect was identified as Zanudin Kawilan. He was allegedly involved in the killing of two soldiers as well as bombing attacks in Maguindanao and North Cotabato.

of Iraq and the Levant, reported the National News Agency.

It said that security forces arrested the suspects at the Shadra checkpoint for having photographs of ISIL on their mobile phones.

They were identified as Mohammed Khaled Khodr al-Rikab, Berri Ahmed Ezzo, and Khaled Mohammed Mareid.

Maps of undisclosed locations were also found on their phones.

Various buildings, including churches, had in recent months been vandalized by Islamic State slogans in Akkar.

Security forces have lately upped their measures against suspected members of terrorist groups, carrying out raids throughout Leb, especially against Syrian refugee encampments.

They have intensified their efforts in light of festivities in August between the army and Islamists from Syria who overran the northeastern border town of Arsal.

Several suspects have been arrested.

Last month, festivities erupted between the army and Islamist gunnies in the Akkar town of Bhannine and the northern city of Tripoli

Qaida Branch Executes Syrian for 'Insulting Prophet'
"Anything ISIS can do we can do better,
We can commit any atrocity that they do!"
[AnNahar] Al-Qaeda's Syrian branch on Wednesday executed a man it accused of insulting the Prophet Mohammed, in a summary killing mirroring those by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. group, a monitoring group said.

Front bandidos hard boyz rubbed out the civilian, identified as Mohammad al-Mir, in the town of Irbin, just northeast of the capital Damascus, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The man had been accused of "insulting the Prophet Mohammed and his family," said the Britannia-based monitoring group.

Al-Nusra has regularly executed members of Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad

in April, distancing itself from the Sunni holy warrior Islamic State (IS) group notorious for summarily executing those it accuses of apostasy.

"We are all used to seeing the Islamic State group doing this, but now it seems that other groups like Al-Nusra Front are following in their footsteps, and are terrorizing the population," Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP.

In December 2013, IS jihadists executed a Syrian boy accused of blasphemy, sparking protests in the northern city of Aleppo and condemnation from activists and Assad's opponents.

The group has since gained infamy for its near-daily executions -- often beheadings -- in areas that it co-opted, and for publicly committing some of the worst atrocities in Syria's war.

Until recently, many Syrian activists and rebels seeking Assad's overthrow had considered Al-Nusra Front to be less radical than the IS group.

In many areas of the war-torn country, Al-Nusra Front members and rebel fighters have fought side by side against forces loyal to Assad.

But in recent weeks, particularly after the launch of U.S.-led strikes against jihadist positions in Syria in late September, Al-Nusra Front has started mobilizing to expel rivals from areas out of government control.

Less than a month ago, Al-Nusra pushed out Syrian rebels from most of their positions in the northwestern province of Idlib.

"The killing in Irbin shows us what Al-Nusra Front is really about," said the Observatory's Abdel Rahman.

"The execution violates not only human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
, but also proves once again that Al-Nusra's agenda has absolutely nothing to do with the Syrian people's desire for democracy," he added.

Syria's war began as a peaceful movement demanding Assad's ouster, but later evolved into a war after the regime unleashed a massive crackdown against dissent.

Al-Nusra released its first statement in January 2012, and has since grabbed credit for the majority of suicide kabooms that have struck the country in the past three years.

The group has been classed by the United States since 2012 as a "terrorist" organization.
