Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Maybe this time they'll kill us twice
According to Lt.-Gen. Michael Flynn, if Hamas is eliminated, something worse would replace it. Hamas wants to exterminate the Jews; its Charter quotes the Hadith text about the tree telling Muslims to kill the Jew hiding behind it. What's worse than that? Maybe this time, they'll kill us twice.

#1  if Hamas is eliminated, something worse would replace it.

Similar to the argument of why impeach Obama, someone worse will replace him?

#2  The reason to not impeach Obama is practical. We don't have power to do it.

But sooner o later you'll see that only Democrat Governments can exist in US because the bureaucracy is fully Democrat.

#3  Zorb all the more reason to shrink government.

#4  No, No, No! Impeachment makes him a martyr not the failure he is.

Why You Should Blame Iran For The Gaza Conflict
by Naftali Bennett
A taste:
[DailyBeast] Israel's ongoing conflict with Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, in the Gazoo Strip has for the umpteenth time exposed Iran as the true source of instability in the Middle East.

At a time when Western powers are working to reach a deal with Iran over its illicit nuclear program, events in Gazoo need to serve as a warning of what will happen if they fail.

For Israel, the message is clear. An Iran that provides, already today, its terror proxies with sophisticated rockets, drones, and other technology could one day hand off a crude nuclear device or dirty bomb to these same terrorists.

In addition, an Iranian regime with nuclear weapons is a regime more willing to take risks and to test the West's resolve. Deterrence will no longer work.

That is why Israel's operation in the Gazoo Strip needs to be put into the correct context. While the forces of Evil against whom Israeli soldiers are fighting in Gazoo are Paleostinian, they are in reality proxies of Iran located on our western border.

Terror Networks
Muslim Brotherhood, Jamaat-i-Islami and global jihad
Long, but worth reading the whole thing.
[Bangla Daily Star] Maulana Abul Ala Maududi (1903-1979), an Indian-born madrassah-educated journalist, author and political thinker was the founder of the Jamaat-e-Islami
...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
or Party of Islam. It came into being in 1941 in British India. Maududi started the organization with a view to promoting Islamic values and practices in the light of his way of interpreting the Koran and hadis.

He was a maverick. His ideas were quite looney radical and different from the mainstream Sunni ulama or holy mans in the Indian Subcontinent. Interestingly, like most leading Moslem holy mans in British India, he was opposed to the concept of Pakistain, as he did not believe that Mohammed Ali Jinnah, a secular Shiite Moslem, along with his "Anglo-Mohammedan" associates, would establish an "Islamic State." He knew it well that Jinnah and his associates strove for a "Moslem" not "Islamic" Pakistain in Moslem-majority territories to be carved out of British India.

Home Front: Culture Wars
Spengler: The Real Crisis
Illegal immigrants are a minor annoyance; America’s shift towards European fertility is a catastrophe from which we may never recover. The demographic crisis isn’t at our borders but at home. It’s easy to blow off steam about illegals on the border, and tough to address the fundamentals. I’ve tried to do so in the past, for example here, but the real problems and prospective solutions don’t make easy sound-bites.

Just to make things clear: I want super-tough, restrictive immigration laws. I’d prefer a Canadian-style system that favors highly-educated immigrants with capital to invest. But I don’t think the best immigration law in the world is going to do much good.

#1  Hmm, wrong on all counts, actually. Illegal immigrants are much more than a minor annoyance in themselves, and importantly are a central part of the collapsed civic culture that is far more a threat than birth rates: lawlessness, race-baiting, abandonment of sensible policies and adoption of stupid short-term rent-seeking in its place.

For a guy so burdened that his deep thoughts don't translate into sound bites, he tosses out the ignorant and arrogant "blow off steam about illegals on the border" with some panache.

And any demographic problem (he exaggerates it and fails to note how early it is in that game) CAN be partly addressed with smart (i.e., normal and traditional) immigration policy.

#2  Why the shift towards European reproductive rates? Because the government is regulating the crap out of being a parent. Remove the regulation and shift us back towards a more free society and the problem will solve itself.
