| Family gunned down in Faryab |

| A Faryab man along with his eight-year-old son and six-year-old daughter were shot dead in Qaisar district on Tuesday afternoon by armed men allegedly linked to the district governor, police said. Faryab police chief General Dilawar Shah Delawar told TOLOnews the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon when the father and his two children were returning to their village from the district center. Delawar said the suspects fall under the local police structure and work for the Qaisar district governor. The family of the deceased carried the bodies to the Faryab local government building and called for a full investigation into the case. The family members also said the Qaisar district governor's men had killed the father and his two children. But the Qaisar district governor, Rahmatullah Qaisari, rejected the claims and said the armed men work for the Qaisar district police chief Nizamuddin Qaisari. Nizamuddin Qaisari however also rejected the claim and said the men do not work for him. |
