GD: Accused of underpaying women, Google says it's too expensive to get wage data

#4  Google is in the mid peninsula of the SF Bay Area. Therefore there's more than just two sexes to parse. You need lawyers to do that, and lots of liberal arts professors as expert witnesses. And them bastards are expensive.

#1  After all, they're only Google. How could they possibly be expected to figure that kind of thing out?

Either way, without the data, how could anyone know that these women were being underpaid? And if Google couldn't figure it out, then who could? Or is someone just fishing for notoriety or dollars?
