| #1 US oil triggered the Japanese attack on Pearl harbor. The embargo was intended to force Japan's hand in China. It forced hand in an unexpected direction. Today, it can be argued that low oil prices impact Iran and Russia's ability to project force. I wonder if this too might backfire.... |
