| Gunman kills self after 2 NYPD cops fatally shot ‘execution style’ as ‘revenge’ for Garner |

| [NYPost] Two uniformed NYPD officers were shot dead Saturday afternoon as they sat in their marked police car on a Brooklyn street corner — in what investigators believe was a crazed gunman’s execution-style mission to avenge Eric Garner and Michael Brown. The tragic heroes were working overtime as part of an anti-terrorism drill when they were shot point-blank in their heads by the lone gunman, who approached them on foot from the sidewalk at the corner of Myrtle and Tompkins avenues in Bed-Stuy. “I’m Putting Wings on Pigs Today,” a person believed to be the gunman wrote on Instagram in a message posted just three hours before the officers were shot through their front passenger window. Yes, he was. |

| #7 It will be interesting to see folks try and distance themselves from the violence. I await a statement from Professor Hammerhead that was jugged the other night. He will now be canned where before he would have been a press darling. There will be a general scurrying of cockroaches. Press releases of the Potius Pilot variety will fly from those who stoked the fires just days ago. |

| #5 The Rev. Al Sharpton said Saturday he is "outraged" at the shooting deaths of two New York City police officers. Sharpton said it is "reprehensible" anyone would link the deaths of the officers with the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., and Eric Garner in Staten Island. |

| #2 “We’re all in this together,” the mayor told grieving cops, according to a cop who was there. “No we’re not,” one officer said tersely in response. Just last week cops began signing a “Don’t Insult My Sacrifice” waiver, distributed by the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, that warned the mayor and speaker to stay away from funerals of cops killed in the line of duty.
