| IS plot to flood Baghdad foiled by Operations Command |

| [Iraq News] On Thursday, Baghdad Operations Command announced that an ISIS plot to flood the capital city was foiled, indicating that it was able to break the ISIS siege on Iraqi military units at Japanese bridge, Ramadi. The Operations Chief, Gen. Officer Abdul Amir Al-Shammari said in a presser today, ISIS Death Eaters tried to open the Samarra Barrage and let the water flow to Baghdad. Their plan was exposed on the back of the battle in Muthanna and Samarra-Fallujah road. Al-Shammari added, âBaghdad operations were able to break the ISIS siege on military units trapped in the Japanese bridge in Anbar region, and reopen the supply route to Ramadi.â On October 28th, 2014, a source in Baghdad operations command said that the Muthanna chemical weapons facility located on the road between Samarra and the city of Tharthar, north-west of Salahuddin province, had been liberated from the so-called Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference.
