Biden's Electric Vehicle ‘Mandate' Might Just Be A Surprise Gift To China |
2024-04-08 |
[Daily Caller] The Biden administration has put in place regulations that would require many Americans to adopt electric vehicles (EV) in the coming years despite U.S. companies struggling to produce the products, leading some experts to wonder if vehicles from China will be needed to meet current goals. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized emission standards in late March for light-duty vehicles that would effectively require 67% of new models sold to be electric or hybrid by the end of 2032 in hopes of speeding up an EV transition to reduce carbon emissions. The regulations are in spite of sluggish American EV demand that has led to both concerning losses and slowdowns in production for automakers, with both Tesla and Rivian missing production expectations for the first quarter of 2024. #5 Just a coincidence? "MEXICO CITY, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD (002594.SZ), opens new tab is looking for a location in Mexico to set up a factory aimed at boosting the company's share of the local market, BYD Americas CEO Stella Li told Reuters on Wednesday. The company expects to choose a location for the plant, which is set to have a production capacity of 150,000 cars annually, by the year's end, Li said. BYD outpaced former market leader Tesla in EV sales globally in the fourth quarter of 2023, and auto industry officials say its push into Mexico foreshadows a competitive threat the Shenzhen-based automaker and others from China may pose to companies already operating in the U.S. market. #2 The similar timelines amongst various states and the locations of those states are telling, NE, to the Carolinas, West Coast, land Border states with Mexcio, perhaps this indicates the demographic shift of the 10 million illegals and flyover country has a greater meaning. the Timelines also denote a plan. Pet theory is China lost the boat on fossil fuels, whatever electric will become, the cheapest tech will rain for the next 100 years+ as countries "develop". This is a dupe to allow China time to destabilize and then acquire the controlling interest in petroleum, over the next 10 to 20 years, when EV stops being subsidized and falls apart. It will e theirs. |

#1 Biden has got to get the gasoline prices up to $10-$12 dollars per gallon for EV's to really take off. A big Gulf war blow up could bring that about. |
