DC throws a pity party, claiming members need a raise
2024-04-04
[NYPOST] Congress’ public approval recently fell to a record-low 12%, but the real problem, according to The Washington Post, is members of the House of Representatives do not receive higher pay, more power and boundless adulation.

"Being in the House is undoubtedly terrible" and "a uniquely crummy job": That is the verdict of Philip Bump, the last prominent DC journalist who still insists the Hunter Biden
...son of President Joe: cashiered from the Navy, a crackhead, wheeler dealer, leg humper, horn dog, and general all around ne'er do well. We're supposed to feel sorry for him...
laptop was a Russian plot and a premier Biden bootlicker.

Bump’s piffle epitomizes how the liberal media exalt the politicians who have ravaged our prosperity and freedom.

DC protocol prohibits fact-checking pundit pity parties.

Bump claims House members "haven’t gotten a raise in more than a decade," omitting the unconstitutional de facto pay raise the House awarded itself last year.

Members can automatically claim $258 a night for lodging expenses and $79 a day for meals for each day spent in DC — up to $34,000 a year in tax-free dollars, even if they don’t spend a dime (no receipts necessary).

#3  Yet they don’t retire. It is so terrible that they continue to accumulate wealth that they can’t possibly spend. Is Feinstein sitting in the afterlife in forever disappointment because she didn’t get to sign one more farm bill?

#2  Note well that when they decide to 'retire' their reelection funds become personal money.

While many "CITIZENS" have lost 20+% of their BASIC GOODS spendable income. So how about ....

1st a REALISTIC COLA for Retired Seniors.

2nd NO $$$$ increases for Federal / Elected persons until we have a BALANCED Budget?

With everything up 21+% and Biden is even reducing Medicare Advantage funding.

Major Stores are seeing reduced customer purchases and are drastic 30 to 50% sales to clear shelves of many items
