The command of the armed forces of the country of Somalia has given more details about a planned operation in collaboration with international partners that took place last night in the Galhareeri district of the Galgaduud region.

It was pointed out that the operation destroyed al-Shabaab’s radio station, a house where leaders of the group were meeting, and a garage where they used to make boom-mobiles.

The operation, according to the SNA statement killed more than 25 members of al-Shabaab, including leaders, journalists, and technicians.

"In the middle of the night, the allied forces raided the al-Shabaab base and leveled radio station to the ground, and a lot of journalists and leaders were killed in Galhareiri town of Galgadud region," reads the statement in part.

The government said it will share the names of the leaders and bandidos murderous Moslems who were killed last night in the bombardment and ground operation that took place in Galhareeri.

Somalia’s spy agency identifies Al-Shabaab leaders killed in raid

[ShabelleMedia] The National Intelligence and Security Agency NISA has given more details about a planned operation in cooperation with international partners that took place last night in the Galhareeri district of Galgaduud region.

The joint covert operation was conducted in different places where senior leaders, militants, and journalists have been staying, according to a statement by NISA on Thursday.

NISA said that 30 Al-Shabaab members, including foreign fighters, were killed in the ground and air operation and 20 others were injured, some sustained critical wounds.

Galhareeri district is said to be Al-Shabaab’s biggest base in the Central Galgadud Region.
