| IDF says troops killed wanted senior member of Islamic Jihad in West Bank raid |

| [IsraelTimes] Reservists of the elite Duvdevan unit and Border Police officers operating in the northern West Bank village of Jaba’ killed a wanted senior Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... operative, the military says. The terror operative, identified by Paleostinian health officials as 37-year-old Majdi Abd al-Latif Fashafsha, was armed, according to the IDF. The IDF says another wanted Paleostinian was arrested in Jaba’, and troops seized weapons from Fashafsha’s home and other buildings in the village. |
