Senate arseclowns pass resolution to honor late Jimmy Buffett
2023-10-06
[Washington Examiner] The Senate unanimously passed a resolution in remembrance of the late musician Jimmy Buffett.

Buffett died at the age of 76 last month. His website revealed that he was diagnosed with Merkel cell skin cancer, although the singer-songwriter didn't publicize it. He played through his treatment, performing most recently in July.

This resolution, which intended to honor "the life, legacy, and contributions of James William Buffett," was sponsored by Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS) and co-sponsored by Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS).
He was born in Pascagoula, MS

#2  Given all the political culturally divisive appeasement days we have now. Why not something we could all share? An since there is no Federal Holiday in August yet?

How about the 3rd Friday of August starting at 6pm until dawn? - Jimmy Buffet Day. 🍹/😎
