President Trump warns auto workers about CCP threat
2023-09-16
[Breitbart] Former President Donald Trump is warning America’s auto workers that President Joe Biden’s green energy agenda will outsource their jobs to China as the United Auto Workers (UAW) goes on strike against General Motors (GM), Ford, and Stellantis.

As Breitbart News Economics Editor John Carney details, nearly 13,000 UAW members have started striking against three automakers as contract negotiations have yet to deliver assurances that Biden’s rapid push for Electric Vehicles (EVs) will not jeopardize their wages and jobs.

"The Biden administration has been pushing policies to electrify most new vehicles within a decade or so," Carney writes. "That rush toward electric vehicles will mean a rapid decline in payrolls for autoworkers—even as the automakers enjoy Inflation Reduction Act subsidies."

Trump, in an interview with CNBC, aligned himself with auto workers and warned them that the Biden administration, paired with UAW leadership, is not only not stopping China from gaining economic dominance over the EV industry but actively working to hand the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) full control of EV supply chains.

"The auto workers will not have any jobs ... because all of these cars are going to be made in China. The electric cars, automatically, are going to be made in China," Trump said:

#10  It’s almost like the Biden Administration is not pro-labor.

The rank and file that votes kneejerk democrat isn't pro-labor either. They just don't realize it.

#9  Interesting presentation from Wikipedia (#8), which reminds me - just how much methane hydrate is on the ocean floor, and how many electric cars could that power?

#6  Read somewhere where oil is the result of a geological process (not 'dead dinosaurs') and the earth generates more oil than we consume.

#4  Hasn't run out but it does get more expensive unless a step change, like fracking, occurs. Of course, that assumes an incompetent or malevolent government doesn't unbalance supply and demand even further.

I'm not against EVs. I just don't think the battery, materials, energy tech nor domestic supply chain is ready for wide adoption.

#3  Amazing how that RUN OUT number never seems to happen isn't it?

#2  In 1966 only a few years (possibly 18-20) "the world's supply of crude oil will have been exhausted."

#1  Remember according to the LSD run Biden Admin.
The Climate (Ice-Age, Warming or Change) goal, was to eliminate all fossil fuels and vehicles by 2030, which is now pushed out to 2050.

This would effectively trash over 279m ++ personal and commercial owned vehicles registered in the U.S.

Given even Eco-friendly Eco-Mandated California had the highest rate of EV ownership in the USA, which was ONLY 1.61% of all registered vehicles in the state as of 2021.

Sounds like a massive $100 Billion retool of the Auto Industry, in a severely inflated and depressed economy would be needed to switch to ONLY EV's.

So what will the UAW be building 279 Million replacement vehicles from and with?

And/Or will Government step in, and "regulate /control travel and slowly implement restrictions?
