A Death Eater of the Iranian-backed Liwa al-Quds

was killed on Friday and another was injured in a landmine explosion in a town east of Homs Governorate in central Syria.

A military source from the Liwa al-Quds told North press that the landmine went kaboom! while the turbans were on a foot patrol searching for Islamic State

The explosion resulted in the death of Haider al-Abid, 32, a Death Eater of Liwa al-Quds from the city of Palmyra, central Syria. Another Death Eater was maimed and taken to a field hospital in Homs.

Two days earlier, a child was killed and two others were maimed in two separate landmine explosions in the western and eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

The Syrian Desert covers nearly half of the area of Syria, and is distributed over the governorates of Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Rif Dimashq, Suwayda and Palmyra.

Iranian-backed militias and the government forces control large areas of the Syrian Desert and the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, which constitutes a source of concern as it witnesses intensive operations by ISIS sleeper cells.

#2 Keep an eye on Syria and the US troops (why?) in eastern Syria (where all the oil is, that's why).

As people focus on Ukraine, this area could get nasty.
