| #8 the FIRST thing that the Government would have to do is get every last troop and their families on base behind barbed wire. They would try. Most of our military, especially the combat arms, are from red states and they and possibly entire units would desert/defect on mass. |

| #6 ^ what Mike says. The bases only have so much vehicle and aviation fuel. Lots of pipes between cracking plants and distribution points. No fuel no fly. While the uniforms can run Mogas on their vehicle* the aviation side of the house needs specialized stuff. * unless its been revamped to green, then they're in the same spot as the aviation house. |

| #4 ...It's been pointed out that if the Worst ever happened, and US citizens found themselves staring down the barrels of military weapons, the FIRST thing that the Government would have to do is get every last troop and their families on base behind barbed wire. And then heavy escort of every. Single. Truck bringing supplies to said bases. The first thing they'd have to do is triple the size of the military...and by the way - has anyone noticed how close all those F-16 bases sit to roads? Mike |
