Russia Just Accused The NSA Of A Massive Hack...
2023-06-03
[YouTube] Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! This time we take a look at what appears to be another massive hack that's been ranging for nearly 4 years uninterrupted for iOS users. Russia's FSB accused the NSA yesterday of spying on their top officials for years using insane zero-day exploits only available from their words through the help of Apple.

#4  Yes, I believe Russians are the second most prolific hackers in the world following China and followed by Ukraine. So, yes, they deserve to get hacked back although, in my mind, the big question is why nobody ever says anything about the far more prolific Chinese hackers.

But I think the concern for Americans is that the hack was embedded in all iPhones, wherever they are sold and used, not just Russia, and that the NSA is indeed spying on us. At least that's what the Russians are saying. But with the American intel community you just never know. As badanov will attest, this story in Regnum can be translated to English by clicking a button on the page. The translation was posted to Rantburg yesterday but is now archived.

From the link:
The information received indicates Apple’s close cooperation with the US National Security Agency and contradicts the company's stated privacy policy, the FSB emphasized. The agency added that Apple provides American intelligence services with great opportunities to track and control any individuals, including US allies and its own citizens.

I never liked iPhones anyway and part of the reason is that they are all Made in China which makes them suspect right off the bat. Samsung smart phones are made in places like Korea and Vietnam.

I understand that my Android's smart phone operating system software is controlled by Google and is therefore every bit as suspect as Apple's iOS but at least the hardware is not Made in China.

#3  Personally, I don't buy it. I mean what are you suggesting? Dozens of federal workers doing their assigned jobs with diligence and care when they should be stalking ex-girlfriends or some furry convention?

Right. Make sure that .30-40 gets here in time for Cuba.

#1  Gee, turn around is fair play. Nah, sorry Putie we don't buy "The secretary disavows your actions" for all those prior hacks from Russia.
