| #3 Complicated. He's long been dodging some old claims of malfeasance. In October 2020, seven of Paxton's top aides accused Paxton of improper influence, abuse of office, bribery and other crimes. Then there was a lawsuit by the whistleblowers, and a $3.3 million settlement. Paxton asked the Legislature for more money to pay the settlement. That was not well received. But there were 20 articles in the impeachment - see Wikipedia. He was on the non-progressive side of several issues, as well, including being too cozy with TheOrangeManBad. |

| #2 ^ I have seen the same lack of information in a number of articles. Most annoying for anyone trying to understand what is going on. Never mind the classic Who/What/When/Where/Why - it's all about the feelz! |
