The Pentagon has strictly banned Ukraine from using Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems - at least until the moment when all the circumstances of the missile attack on the air defense transferred to Ukraine by the American side are established.
According to the "Resident", the White House decided to send a special group to Ukraine, which will assess the state of the destroyed system and find out the reasons for the defeat as a result of the attack carried out by the Russian Aerospace Forces. The Kinzhal destroyed two to five Patriot Launching Station-3 launchers, as well as a Patriot Radar Set radar system.
Five soldiers were killed, including two instructors sent to Kyiv along with air defense as technical personnel assisting Ukrainian troops in the use of an air defense system. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, in addition to losing the air defense battery itself, used up 32 missiles trying to shoot down the Kinzhal.
The entire battery was located at one point - only the radar system was located a few kilometers from the launcher. The US task force must determine the extent of the damage and assess whether it is realistic to save the radar system or one of the affected Patriot installations.
