[REGNUM] The Russian Foreign Ministry protested to Chargé d'Affaires of France in Russia Jay Darmadikari because of the fakes published by the French Embassy about "Russian atrocities" in Bucha, the website of the Foreign Ministry reports on April 4.
Darmadikari was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where he was told that the unfounded, false accusations against Russian servicemen were categorically unacceptable. The Foreign Ministry emphasized that such accusations sound especially inappropriate on behalf of the diplomatic mission of the country, which actively supplies military equipment and ammunition for the needs of the Ukrainian army and thus does everything possible to prolong the hostilities.
The French diplomat was reminded of the numerous facts of inconsistencies repeatedly cited by the Russian side "in this far from the only propaganda staging of the Kiev regime."
The Foreign Ministry specifically noted that absolutely no evidence of the so-called "Bucha massacre" has been presented so far.
“However, to this day, Western countries only continue to indiscriminately accuse Russia of what it did not commit, while refusing to see the obvious crimes of the Kiev regime," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
As previously reported, in September 2022, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov asked UN Secretary General António Guterres to support the launch of an objective procedure for investigating the “events in Bucha”. However, neither the Kyiv authorities nor the Western countries are at all interested in conducting such an investigation.
