The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act—more commonly known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or “Obamacare”—was signed into law by Obama on March 23, 2010. Among the many promises Obama made as he pitched his program to the American people was one he repeated in one iteration or another no less than 37 times, Politifact reported. |
