| Several explosive devices found alongside Abyan road |

| [HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Local residents of Mudiyah district, east of Abyan ...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirateafter seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues... , found several of bombs planting on the main roads in the province. According to the residents, the bombs were planted by al-Qaeda members on the side of the roads linking the city of Mudiyah and the area of al-Furaid. The sources said the explosives were prepared to target a military convoy of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia, which was on its way to the area. A few days ago, an bomb went kaboom!in a leader’s military convoy in the STC militia while passing through the same district, killing the leader and wounding 6 others. Since the launch of the so-called "Arrows of the East" operation on September 25, 2022, the Islah Death Eaters in support of al-Qaeda have claimed the lives of dozens of leaders and members of the STC militia. |
