#9 another cold storm coming Monday-Tuesday then, unfortunately, there is a possibility of a not so cold but wetter storm coming Friday-Sunday When you get wetter denser snow on top of dry snow, it creates ideal avalanche conditions as well as caving in roof conditions |

#6 I used to call the Sierra area the 'snowy desert' when I was stationed in the mountains near Herlong, Ca. 10 plus feet of snow in the winter and needing a swamp cooler in the summer. What is happening now is merely a reoccurring cycle. |

#4 The San Bernardino Mountains in SoCal have a genuine crisis for rural mountain residents as they cannot get to food and some residents have been snowed in for over a week or more. Crestline has had many buildings and residences have roof collapse from snow load! Locals are begging for help describing it as a life-or death situation as elderly residences have been snowed in for a week without power. https://www.zerohedge.com/weather/help-us-southern-california-mountain-residents-go-survival-mode-after-snowpocalypse |
