#9  Wait till the ‘experts’ uncover the derailment of some of the wheels of UP’s Big Boy when they were moving the rigid framed trucks around a tight radius switch: then they will shriek about how old equipment adds additional peril to the rails……
(Videos available if interested in watching the re-railing of it)

#7  The video is authentic based on my estimate of rural Ohio dialect and the demand for the buddy to steer while the driver films. Our state goal is to regress into Cro Magnon levels of cognition.

Interesting, the railroads did a lot of work to the crossings local to my area last fall. I believe they were doing something to the grading to prevent or repair plough damage. Crossings were shut down sequentially for a couple of days each leaving some new asphalt.

#6  Tanker cars may be empty or full of vegetable oil. Or chemicals for shampoo. Liquids important to your everyday life. Probably not low-fat milk.

If the wrecked cars have been laying there for days, the railroad is probably looking for a contractor to come in and cut up the cars for scrap.

What is real life vs. Political/Commercial Newspeak pretty much dictates trusting nothing said until verified by others.

BTW: Not all train issues make the news.
The Mid-Jan. Tornados in southern Henry & northern Butts GA. county line area, derailed several train cars filled with questionable materials in Jenkinsburg, GA. about 1/2 mile east of Burg Rd. The cars were still laying there a month + later. This is a major rail line leading into Atlanta from ports like Savannah, and Fla. .
