| ISIS landmine kills civilians in Deir ez-Zor |

| [NPASyria] For the fourth time in one week, a landmine explosion left by ISIS kills a man and injures his son in the southern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria. Ramez al-Omar, 52, lost his life, and his son, Amer al-Omar, 31, was hit by shrapnel in different parts of his body in a landmine explosion left by ISIS while searching for truffles in the town of Harbisha in the south of Deir ez-Zor, a local source said. The injured man was taken to al-Assad Hospital in Deir ez-Zor for treatment and is at death's door, according to the Hospital’s director. The countryside of Deir ez-Zor witnessed three similar incidents in one week leading to the death of five people and the injury of three others. Daily casualties increase in Deir ez-Zor countryside due to explosions of landmines and war remnants left by ISIS since it was its last stronghold. Two days earlier, three civilians died in a landmine explosion left by ISIS in the town of al-Kamsha in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor while looking for desert truffles. |
