| UAE-Backed STC Military Commanders Killed in Road-Side Bombing |

| [HodhodYemenNews] A number of military commanders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia, were killed on Tuesday by an attack with bombs in Abyan ...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirateafter seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... .Local sources in the province said that the chief of operations of the so-called "Fifth Support Brigade," Abdullah Sa’ad Barjeela, and the operations officer of the "First Battalion" in the Fifth Brigade, Meshaal al-Elayani, were killed when their vehicles were targeted with four bombs in al-Baqira area, east Mudiyah district. The sources added that the earth-shattering kabooms left a number of dead and maimed among the escorts of Barjeela and al-Elayani, at the entrance to Omran Valley in the district. |
