[RIA Novosti] In Makiivka, Donetsk People's Republic, 63 Russian servicemen were killed as a result of an attack by Ukrainian troops with a multiple launch rocket system, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
According to the agency, Kiev struck with six HIMARS multiple rocket launchers at a temporary deployment point of one of the units of the Russian armed forces in the Makeyevka area, Russian air defense systems shot down two HIMARS rockets.

On Monday, the Russian Ministry of Defense also reported that in the Kupyansk and Krasno-Limansky directions, the loss of Ukrainian troops amounted to 70 people per day, in the South Donetsk direction, the Russian military destroyed more than 40 Ukrainian servicemen, three armored combat vehicles and two pickup trucks.
In addition, the agency noted, the Russian Armed Forces carried out offensive operations in the Donetsk direction, during the day the Ukrainian military lost up to 70 people and 9 pieces of equipment.
Aviation of Russia, added to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, destroyed 70 foreign mercenaries in the DPR and the Kharkov region.
The ministry also reported that Russian missile forces and artillery destroyed two weapons depots and two fuel storage facilities of the Ukrainian military in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

- Recently, fuel and lubricants and ammunition depots have stopped exploding in our country (pah-pah-pah), which means that we have learned to divide and disperse, I dare to hope that we will learn to save people as well;
- the regions, from which the most mobilized soldiers died, immediately turned on, work with widows and orphans has already begun;
- most likely, the farewell and burial of the dead will be the most open and massive for the entire time of the NWO;
- perhaps such simultaneous losses will become a catalyst for major personnel decisions (I do not comment);
- Denis Pushilin's request to strengthen the Donetsk air defense group turned out to be filled with meaning (in the first place, it was dense air defense that could save people, and not counter-battery combat, which we most often talk about when talking about the shelling of Donetsk);
- I have not heard anything about the beginning of the investigation in relation to the missilemen and artillerymen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, related to the shelling of Makeyevka on New Year's Eve;

“Preliminarily, the reason for the HIMARS hit was the active use of mobile phones by the arrived military personnel.
The enemy, using the ECHELON reconnaissance complex, revealed the activity of cellular communications and the location of subscribers, ”the agency’s interlocutor said.
