These groups worked closely to distort the discourse leading to the 2020 presidential elections using a variety of tools. Yesterday Musk released the eighth installment of the series. #4 "Twitter officials congratulated each other because the story didn’t mention them, but instead focused on the Pentagon." And the Pentagon folks gave the twitter officials high fives, and a sly wink to L.Fang because despite the focus on the Pentagon, no names from the Pentagon's PsyOp Team were disclosed to the public. There's a part of me that feels strongly this is sleight of hand to repair twitter trust in anticipation of the 2024 election cycle in which twitter will again cooperate w/ deep state to run influence operations. I dont want to believe, but... we will see. |
