#4  You know there are Home on Jam modes. Basically the anti aircraft missile turns into a ARM missile.

#3  the F-35 at the time did not have the complete hardware, software, or stealth

Nope. I knew they had the flight controls nerfed but really didn't know why until a few years ago. The stealth coating can't handle much in the way of speeds and friction, which is why they dumbed down the controls. They wanted to see what would happen if they assumed the worst for the coating against 4th generation fighters. It wasn't pretty. Fortunately, the coating allowed for better maneuvers.

The real killer/death dealer of the F-35 is its radar and networking.

Not only is all that data collected, it is sent back through the networks to the AWACS and the like to direct the missile boats and 4th generation fighters to targets that normally they would be in engagement range if they saw them. The F-35 is providing all the data. So they can launch at well beyond normal engagement ranges, slinging missiles up in the upper atmosphere to fall down on jets that have no idea they have launched. (The AMMRAM only turns on its internal radar 8 nautical miles from the target's estimated position from the data feeds which are always updated as long as the AWACS or F-35 has a target track) That gives the target slightly less than 5 seconds to react to a missile engage warning when the internal AMRAMM radar turns on. Very difficult to avoid.

#2  Rough analogy to a football team?

F-35 - QB
F-15 / 16 / 18(A) - Offensive line
F-22 - WR
A-10 - RB / HB / FB

#1  Seems the F-35 at the time did not have the complete hardware, software, or stealth configuration. In subsequent Red Flag exercises, it has 20:1 or 24:0 'kill ratio'.

Good video.
