#1 If you want to innoculate yourself against propaganda, "INFLUENCE: The Psychology of Persuasion" by Robert Cialdini is a good place to start. It is a short book, but after reading it, you will understand how used car salesman, telemarketers, advertisers and such try to take advantage of you. Once you see it, it cannot be unseen. |
