[AlAhram] The Supreme Council of German Moslems has denied all entities linked to the Moslem Brüderbund membership of the council, including the Islamic Centre in Munich and the Student Union affiliated to the Brotherhood.The council also stripped Ibrahim El-Zayat, one of the Brotherhood leaders based in Germany, of all his positions, according to sources.
El-Zayat, who is of Egyptian origin, held several positions in Germany, including the presidency of the Islamic Society in Germany in 2001, according to media reports.
The Council of German Moslems held its elections on Sunday amid major challenges facing Moslems in Germany. Foremost of these is taking advantage of their legitimate platforms that represent them by the Brotherhood group.
