Six persons received suspicions under part 1 of Art. 111 (treason) and Part 2 of Art. 260 (participation in the activity of an armed formation not provided for by law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The suspect was announced by the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes Committed in Armed Conflict, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports .
It is noted that in April 2014, those involved in the case, former law enforcement officers and representatives of local authorities, took part in the seizure of the administrative building of the Horliv city administration of the Main Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.
"30 militants who were part of the power bloc of the so-called DPR were stationed at the base of the captured administrative police building. They illegally deprived Ukrainian citizens of their freedom and detained them, in particular pro-Ukrainian activists and prisoners of war," the report says.
For these actions, they face up to 15 years in prison.
