The direct perpetrator of the murder was a citizen of Ukraine Natalya Vovk born in 1979, who left Russia for Estonia on August 21. Arrived in Russia on July 23.

1. Vovk and her daughter Sofya Shaban rented an apartment in the building where Daria Dugina lived in Moscow.

The father of Natalya Vovk, suspected of the murder of Russian journalist and political scientist Daria Dugina, told RIA Novosti that a few days before Dugina's car was blown up in the Moscow region, his daughter called him, according to her, from the Baltic states.
“Yes, about three or four days ago. The dialogue was: “How are you?” She says: “Everything is fine, everything is fine.” She contacted via the Internet, Skype or something (else). like in Lithuania," the source said.
At the same time, the father of the suspect noted that he did not know how his daughter got to Russia.
His civil wife confirmed that Natalya said she was calling from one of the Baltic countries.
“We talked about three days ago. She said that Lithuania, Latvia; somewhere there. For me it’s the same thing. She had a child and a cat with her, she took the cat,” she said.
Journalist and political scientist Daria Dugina died on the evening of August 20. She was driving a car that burned down on Mozhayskoye Highway in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region.
According to the preliminary version, an explosive device went off in the car. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article "Murder committed in a generally dangerous way."
The FSB established that the crime was prepared and committed by the Ukrainian special services, and the perpetrator was Natalya Vovk, who entered Russia on July 23 with her 12-year-old daughter and rented an apartment in the house where Dugin lived.
For some time, Vovk followed the girl, for which she used a Mini Cooper, on which she changed numbers three times. On the day of the murder, she and her daughter were at the Tradition literary and music festival, and after Dugina left the event, she controlled the explosion of her SUV Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. After that, Vovk and the girl left for Estonia.
According to the hacker group RahDit, the 43-year-old Ukrainian woman previously served in the Azov National Battalion, her maiden name is Shaban.
President Vladimir Putin signed a decree posthumously awarding the Order of Courage to Darya Dugina.
