| #2 I read a lot of blogs and conservative website/news sites every day, a morning pattern developed over the past few years of retired living. I spend a lot of time reading the blog commentary on subjects of interest to me, but fairly broadly based. My sense is that most of those commenting are right of center to some degree, and most are traditional American citizens, usually middle class. The anger is palpable, and the tone is growing very emotional. This is unlike anything I have seen before, far more troubled and despairing, even from mere months ago. But the most fundamental undercurrent is the loss of any trust in the federal government to do what is right for the citizens, but instead what serves special groups, ideologies and foreign interests. |
