#8  To me it just looks like two more freeloaders who will be leveraging the US military to back up their provocations of Putin. If Lithuania and all the pipsqueaks are going poke the bear, I need at least a couple of months in the gym to get back in passable shape to mobilize in my late 50’s. It would be impossible to form a decent military out of what the left is churning out of our schools.

#6  One might also understand if they are not impressed with NATO claims of strictly peaceful, defensive intentions. They've heard all that from other Western powers many times in the past.

#5  ^ This is why they are onerous, paranoid bastids. And they must know they are really not good at war fighting, or much of anything else except making vodka and Kalashnikovs. They have always relied on thousands of miles of empty steppes between their enemies and Moscow so that anybody who actually makes it to Moscow will be worn out, freezing and over extended.

#4  The fascinating thing is that since Peter the Great, Russia has been invaded by the Swedes, the French (who at least got to Moscow), and the Germans. They all failed. The last one to actually conquer Russia were the Yuan Chinese (aka the Mongols). You would think that the ones that kept them in a yoke for hundreds of years would be of significant concern.

#3  The Russians were onerous, paranoid bastids prior the invasion of Ukraine. The Russians will be onerous, parnoid bastids long after the invasion of the Ukraine.

Sort of like the views of the Zermatt across the Lake Riffelsee. Nothing changes really that much.

#2  As though invading the Ukraine wasn't 'destabilizing'. No, no, it was everybody else's fault. /sarc
