Morning Joe's Richard Haass: We Need To Get The Republican Party Back To Liz Cheney Republicanism
2022-06-12
[REALCLEARPOLITICS] Richard Haass, the president of the Council on Foreign Relations, told 'Morning Joe' on Wednesday that Liz Cheney
...Faux Republican hereditary congresswoman-for-life from Wyoming. She has been described as Republican royalty. A staunch Never Trumper, Liz supported the second impeachment of Donald Trump for his role in the 2021 storming of the U.S. Capitol. Publicans dumped her from her leadership position in May 2021. Refusing to admit that she had trashed her own career, Cheney has said that she intends to be the leader... in a fight to help to restore our party and that she may be interested in a future presidential run....
Republicanism is conservative: "What we see today is that Republicans have ceased to be conservatives, and modern day Republicanism has become radicalism. It's become populist. And you're putting people and policies, what have you, preferences ahead of democracy, ahead of the country, ahead of the Constitution, ahead of our institutions. That, to me, is obviously an unbelievably dangerous departure. We no longer have -- we have, if you will, a progressive liberal party. We no longer have a conservative party. We have what's become a radical movement, a radical network in and out of the official party. That's something we've really never had to deal with in our history. And the question is, can we fete through it? Can we basically get to a point where Liz Cheney Republicanism, which by the way is extremely conservative in her policies, whether we can get back to the point that regains control of the Republican party? I don't know the answer to what. Obviously, we have an enormous stake in it. It gets a little to the point of these hearings, and I might slightly disagree with John and others. I'm not so sure that what we heard is an airtight legal case. I actually have doubts about it."

#9  She's a center-left Democrat pretending to be a Republican. She only gets away with it because of mistaken loyalty to her last name.

#8  Yeah, let's take advice from people who hate us and want us to fail. Solid plan!

#7  Because if there's anyone advice we should listen to, it's ghouls from the globalist CFR.

These people hate our guts. If they say doing this is wrong, then it's right.

#4  Independent = "I can't get elected as a democrat, so I'll do this instead."

#3  ..some state enacted legislation that if you run in a party primary you can not run as a 'independent' afterwards. Cuts that kind of intentional undermining of the process out. In other words, don't put your name on the primary ballot, just go directly to independent for the vote that counts, which does away with any pretense of being a real Trunk or Donk.

#2  She's on track to get crushed in the primary. She has enough money to try a run as an Independent, but is much more likely to take her campaign funds as a retirement package and get a cushy billet at a left-wing think-tank. Hopefully, someone keeps track of any corporate board appointments she might get so proper boycotting / shaming practices can be applied.

Morning Joe, like many TV and Hollywood "has-been's" is seeking to grab some free attention.
I can honestly say I watch part of one show years ago and have not since.

Regarding Liz Cheney.

If it dresses like a Hillary, looks like a 1990 Hillary, talks like a Hillary, and votes like a Hillary.

It's a Hillary.

The (R) is really a (RINO)
