Terrifying moment street racer, 49, slams his Mustang into school bus at 110mph in New Mexico and sends children FLYING
2022-04-27
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • Shocking footage shows the moment nearly two-dozen children are flung out of their seats when a street-racing Mustang rams into the side of a school bus

  • Seven children were hospitalized after the Albuquerque crash on February 23 - two had serious leg injuries, and one needed surgery for a pelvis fracture

  • The driver, 49-year-old Mario Perez, was driving at 110 mph, police said

  • He fractured his femur, and was charged with two counts of reckless driving causing great bodily harm - he was seen in court in a wheelchair and leg braces

  • Only eight states have laws requiring seatbelts on buses, and only one actually required children to wear them

#9  Where bad comments used to go. Now they just delete them but they used to be moved to sinktrap for people to see if they wanted to.

#6  I almost commented on this last night but I didn't want to get sinktrapped. I have very strong emotions when people hurt kids. I really think the laws need to go back to where if you killed a child, you rode the lightning. you kidnap a child you ride the lightning, you sexual abuse a child you ride the lightning. And the lightning needs to take 20 minutes to do the job.

#5  About as good as that gets, including the professionalism to extract street racer before tending to all the children, uprighting and towing the bus, sweeping the street, repainting the curbs, grabbing a sandwich, reading some Walden Pond....

#3  The guy was racing in a residential area at 110 MPH and the wife thinks it's not his fault? That the bus was 'in the way' or something? Then she should be careful her face doesn't get 'in the way' of some parent's raging fist.

Also the bus must be built like a freaking tank to take that kind of hit and not fold up. Good design.

Lucky he hit the bus's right rear wheel area instead of the bus's fuel tank area.

The Drivers Picture

BTW: The Media interviewed the drivers wife. "...Perez and his wife live near the intersection of Gibson Boulevard and Messina Drive where the crash happened. His wife told KOB 4 that she didn't believe he was at fault, and that she 'heard the bus was at fault.'"

So she thinks doing 110mph on a city street at mid-day is ok????

Revoke her license now.
