The weapons being sent to Ukraine and why they may not be enough (videos)
2022-04-18
[Aljazeera] Ukraine has surprised the world by bringing Russia’s invasion to a standstill. Most of the world was aghast when Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his military to attack its neighbour in late February. The new professional Russian army was expected to make sweeping advances, its reputation for effectiveness not yet earned but assumed.

However, Ukrainian resistance was much stronger than anticipated and Russian armoured columns were not only halted but in many cases destroyed as Ukraine leveraged what weapons it had to the greatest effect, its commitment to defend itself with great energy, surprising Russia and the world. Since then, Ukraine has seen a flood of arms as weapons pour in from Europe and the United States.

#4  I will be at AMARC when the last A-10 is scrapped. Looking forward to it.

#2  Congress has ground USAF's nose in the A-10 for so long that anything short of scrapping is not going to make the brass happy. They might like the idea of seeing them shot down. More importantly, we have no business supplying this war. At all.

#1  I watched a youtube video of an upgraded A-10. I think that the Ukrainians would make good use of some of the older 'warthogs' since our Air Force doesn't want them. I bet we could get pilots to fly them too. shades of Gen Chenault.
