2022-03-27 |
[Khaama] Send us money United Nations World Food Program has said that they keep providing food for people in Afghanistan but lack of funds is threatening their operations in the country. WFP in a Twitter post said still half of the Afghan population-23 million people- need emergency food assistance. "Every day, WFP convoys are on the road- through snow and in freezing temperature- to bring food to people across Afghanistan." Reads the Tweet. This is the first time the UN aid agency is complaining about the dearth of money for providing food in Afghanistan as 97 percent of people in Afghanistan are under the poverty line and in desperate need of assistance. |
