| #8 I'd heard that Applebees and their entire category of restaurants are having real trouble these days as Gen Z prefers non franchise local foods. Perhaps the exec is lashing out a bit at his Gen Z employees. |

| #5 If you read most of the e-mail, you'll see it's not all sensationally bad. If they have to get a second job, make sure Applebee's is their favorite. That's the jist of that part of the lengthy e-mail, suggesting even the DM can sensationalize information. |

| #2 I still see so many "We're hiring" signs in front of these establishments when I'm out and about. I guess sitting up in the exec suites, they miss that all. |
