Children lost lives, injured in IED blast in Manbij |

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, two children lost their lives and three others were wounded when a landmine left behind by ISIS blew up while grazing sheep in al-Jarad village in the northwestern countryside of Manbij. “Both Luay Sabri al-Jarad (13 years old) and Muhammad bin Awad al-Jarad (12 years old) lost their lives immediately after the mine exploded, while Khalid al-Jarad (18 years old), Hassan al-Jarad (17 years old) and Laith al-Jarad (16 years old) ) sustained various injuries and were subsequently transported to Dar Al Shifa Hospital in the city of Manbij,” one of the children’s relatives said. “The three injured children had shrapnel in separate areas of their bodies. They were given first aid and they are in good condition now,” a medical source at Dar al-Shifa Hospital told North Press.
