Trump says Putin's invasion plan was 'GENIUS', praises 'savvy' move to send the 'strongest peacekeeping force in the world' to take over Ukrainian breakaway regions and says U.S. could do the same at the southern border
2022-02-23
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] It’s the Daily Mail, so quite possibly President Trump is misquoted or misleadingly quoted.
  • 'If properly handled, there was absolutely no reason that the situation currently happening in Ukraine should have happened at all,' Trump said

  • 'The weak sanctions are insignificant relative to taking over a country and a massive piece of strategically located land,' Trump added

  • Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday sent troops into the pro-Russian regions of Luhansk and Donetsk as he declared those regions independent

  • Biden imposed some new sanctions on Monday prohibiting trade with the Kremlin-backed regions

  • The president is expected to announced more sanctions Tuesday

  • Republicans and Democrats urged Biden to use every sanction in his arsenal before Putin fully invades

#29  Its incredible to see the press in the US as callow and weasely as they can be in trying to cover up just how bad all the "Smartest People" and "Adults" in charge utterly have botched this.

We can vote the bastards out, but how can we tear the heart out of the political-media complex that is propping up these blithering idiotic examples of an unholy amalgam of the Peter Principle and Dunning-Kruger Effect run amok?

#28  Not everyone; some justified their vote because Kumala!

Who just absolutely botched a presser explaining her Peace Mission:

"I mean, listen guys, we are talking about the potential for war in Europe," Harris said. "I mean, let's really take a moment to understand the significance of what we're talking about."

Remember that PR Ad her handlers made of her sitting around with child actors, explaining herself as a high priestess of The Science! disguised as a mortal? Its at Ace's, if you dare.

I think the last thing they would want to poll, is whether The Winter Olympics Media Team would do better.

FIFY. Remember that "Any Republican is Hitlerâ„¢" as long as they can run for office.

Hat tip to the feckless foks who hated Trump so much they voted for this POS. Nicely done. Very nicely done.

#25  He's botching it all. The lamestream media is now so mistrusted they can't drag him over the finish line. The only real worry we have now, assuming we can make it to November is how badly the GOPe will bend over to sell us out.

#24  This drooling cretin is literally destroying us. A fake plague -- whose experimental gene therapy is literally more harmful than the virus itself, so much so they're now suppressing their own data-- a manufactured pseudo-Plague, plus Stagflation, plus Anarchy in our cities and across our border, plus real police-state repression and censorship.

And now the final horseman: lurching toward actual war. Made possible by these shitheads' unbelievable negligence, stupidity, stubborn absurd arrogance and gross diplomatic incompetence.

Mass disobedience is the only weapon we have now to end this madness.

#23  Hell. The Russians might not want this so much themselves except you have Joe and all the deep state droids and media morons yammering about how awful it is right now.

#22  How about a quote from one of our greatest Russia experts, the architect of containment, George Kennan, in 1998 after the Clinton Admin and Senate GOP Morons first expanded NATO:

"...the Russians will gradually react quite adversely and it will affect their policies.

"I think it is a tragic mistake. There was no reason for this whatsoever. No one was threatening anybody else. This expansion would make the Founding Fathers of this country turn over in their graves.

"We have signed up to protect a whole series of countries, even though we have neither the resources nor the intention to do so in any serious way. [NATO expansion] was simply a light-hearted action by a Senate that has no real interest in foreign affairs.''

#20  KamalHo could surely benefit from an AOC Ice-Faceplant. One of many KamalHo word salads:
... the diplomatic path "is still opening, although — open, although it is absolutely narrowing — but within the context of a diplomatic path still being open, the deterrence effect, we believe, has merit."

Trump is being realistic which is a damn sight more than you could say about Brandon. Did you see where he went on to say this never would have happened on his watch? In fact, for four years Trump kept it from happening.

Now, if you wanna talk about a bromance, let's consider Xi Jinping and Brandon.

TRENDING: Stressed Out AOC Dunks Her Face in Bowl of Ice Water

Rep. Alexandria Occasional-Cortex (D-Mars) dunked her face in a bowl of ice water on Instagram Live because she was "stressed out."

AOC counts down from five before dunking her face in cold water for a few seconds. Text overlapping the video reads: "It is very very cold…and yes my kitchen is messy today deal with it."

Ocasio-Cortez's boyfriend can be heard cheering her on, "Good job, good job."

"It gave me a brain freeze," more text on the video reads."But I must say it worked! Turns out dunking your head into freezing cold ice water is a pretty good way to redirect. Hope this helps someone!"

#9  Trump sure loves Putin.

Nah, how bad was it? It was so bad, Team Biden Fanbois brushed it off as ok because it reminded them of a Simpson's episode.

That's fucking bad; the only people openly wearing Team Biden jerseys nowadays are the fanbois.

Noticing that is not the viewer's fault. In fact, it is kind of our duty. Like, am I a Putin stooge for noticing that perhaps the sign language person for Biden speeches would benefit from having a palsy?
Posted by: swksvolFF   2022-02-23 10:59

#8  Does anyone even know what this administration's strategic objective is for Ukraine?

Pres. Magoo has said point blank we have no intention of offering NATO membership to Ukraine. That miserable country's once and future comedian-president says he does not "insist" on NATO membership. Neither of them has said a word about the central issue of autonomy for the Russian-speaking pro-Russian Donbas regions.

How can you possibly drive events with a successful foreign policy when you yourself don't even have a clue about what you're trying to achieve?

#7  Putin has been playing rope-a-dope with US presidents since W.
Posted by: DarthVader   2022-02-23 10:09

#6  It is 100% correct to say that Biden hasn't the faintest idea of what he's doing and that Putin has completely outwitted and wrongfooted Biden and his inept fools.

Biden and his people are the most incompetent foreign policy administration in our history. They built up our mortal rival China, created a grave threat in our own backyard, destroyed our energy independence and gave us stagflation, and ignored Russia and enabled it to forge an alliance with China.

No one who supports this Mad Hatter and his crew of race & gender-obsessed loons has any right to criticize Trump. It is undeniably true that Putin would not have done any of these maneuvers had Trump not been denied a second term in Nov 2020 due to US election chicanery that exceeds anything seen in Russia.

Biden restricted US oil production & helped send the oil price soaring, giving Russia windfall revenues which they've wisely salted away. Trump did the opposite and caused prices to plunge, starving Russia of revenue.

Biden ignored Russia, blew $5 trillion creating yet more asset bubbles, destroyed our border and focused his attention on mythical "domestic threats" of systemic rayciss and wh's'premaciss domestic terr0rism.

Trump tried to begin weaning us off China, reached out to Russia with one hand while bashing it with the other, built an anti-Iranian balancing coalition with extraordinary diplomatic breakthroughs between Israel and most of the Gulf Arab states, and started to get control of our own border.

Biden's people bray loudly and wield no 'stick' of any real consequence.

Trump said nice things about Putin -- and hit the Russians harder than any president ever has, ordering a counterattack by our special forces in Syria that killed over 100 Russian mercenaries who'd shelled them and withdrawing from the INF treaty.

We and the world would be in far better shape had Trump and crew been in the White House these past 12 months instead of Biden and the rest of his shitshow.

#4  re: #1 - what he actually said, with sarcasm:
Speaking with conservative podcaster Buck Sexton, the former president said: 'I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, "This is genius,"' Trump recalled. 'Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine — of Ukraine -- Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that's wonderful.'

'I said, "How smart is that?'" the former U.S. president continued. 'And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s the strongest peace force… We could use that on our southern border. That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. There were more army tanks than I’ve ever seen. They’re gonna keep peace all right.'

'No, but think of it. Here’s a guy who’s very savvy,' Trump went on. 'I know him very well. Very, very, very well. Had I been in office, not even thinkable, this never would have happened.'

Trump added: 'But here’s a guy that says, you know, 'I’m gonna declare a big portion of Ukraine independent,' he used the word 'independent' and 'we’re gonna go out and we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna help keep peace.' You gotta say that’s pretty savvy. And you know what the response was from Biden? There was no response. They didn’t have one for that. No, it’s very sad. Very sad.'

Trump also called President Biden 'a man who has no concept of what he's doing.'

Earlier Tuesday Trump claimed that Vladimir Putin never would have invaded Ukraine if he were still president, and said that Russia has become 'very very rich' under President Biden.

'If properly handled, there was absolutely no reason that the situation currently happening in Ukraine should have happened at all,' Trump said in a statement Tuesday. 'I know Vladimir Putin very well, and he would have never done during the Trump Administration what he is doing now, no way!'

Trump hit out against Biden's 'weak sanctions.'

Like banning the import of Russian oil? Of course that would raise the point that we are importing Russian oil. That in turn raises the point that under Trump we were an oil and gas exporter. Can't have that.
