NORTHREN ALEPPO COUNTRYSIDE , Syria (North Press) – Sheikh al-Hadid in Afrin countryside north of Aleppo, witnessed, yesterday evening, military tension between Sultan Suleiman Shah faction known as “al-Amshat” and al-Jabha al-Shamiya “Levant Front”.

The area witnessed a military alert between the two factions lead al-Amshat faction to set up a checkpoint in an area near those run by the Levant Front, an exclusive source told North Press.

The source added the Levant Front members fired around the aforementioned checkpoint, this enforced al-Amshat members to withdraw from the checkpoint just hours after setting it.

On January 5, fierce clashes erupted between militants of Liwa al-Muhajireen and militants of other faction as a result of dispute over contents of a fish farm, the infighting left casualties and wounded.

The city of Afrin and its villages, north of Aleppo, have been controlled by Turkish forces and the affiliated factions since March 2018.

Since 2018, the region has been witnessing ongoing security chaos accompanied by infighting among militants of the Turkish-backed factions, arrests, and kidnappings amid the factions’ disability to settle the security and spread safety.

NORTHERN ALEPPO COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – TheTurkish-backed faction Sham legion arrested on Monday a Kurdish old man of Afrin countryside, north of Aleppo, without knowing the reason for the arrest.

Sham legion members arrested the 52-year-old Mohi Kochar, a resident of Iska in the vicinity Jinderis, from his house, a local source told North Press.

Members of the faction hit the man in front of his house and tied his hands without knowing the reasons for the arrest, the source added.

He was detained in the prison of the district, while his fate is still unknown.
