‘I Hope They Go to Jail and Get the Book Thrown at Them Because They Deserve It’ – Lindsey Graham and Susan Collins Buck Trump, Vow to Persecute Jan-6ers
2022-02-01
[GatewayPundit] Via The Huffington Post.
Republican elected officials sought to distance themselves from a pledge President Donald Trump made over the weekend to pardon those charged in the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the U.S. Capitol should he run for the White House again and win.

“I think it’s inappropriate,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a Trump ally, said Sunday in an interview with CBS’ “Face The Nation.”

Asked if he believed that Trump’s pledge to offer pardons to rioters could be dangerous, Graham said he did.

“I don’t want to reinforce that defiling the Capitol was okay. I don’t want to do anything that would make this more likely in the future,” the senator said. “I hope they go to jail and get the book thrown at them because they deserve it.”
Queerly enough, the Huffington Post does not share the video so that we can judge for ourselves. Nor does Gateway Pundit.

#8  Lindsey does strangely seem to run against a person so far left that even liberal leaning moderates choke and vote for him.

Maybe there's a private political deal that he'll cross over occasionally as a moderate?

Who knows?

#7  We South Carolinians do apologize for giving the rest of you 6 more years of Lindsey.

In our defense, the alternative was far, far worse (Jaime Harrison, currently chairman of the DNC.)

#5  ^ Many still tune out that confirmation even though it's right in front of their faces.

#3  Trump taught us a lot about the people we had been calling allies.

#2  Sen. Graham & Se. Collins.

Are you suggesting you are have decided they are guilty, or just running to the Camera for attention?

Care to discuss how the 6th'ers gained access to the Capital building?

Care to discuss the number of "KNOWN" Federal & ANTI-FA, SD's planted in the 6ther's crowd to lead and mislead?

Care to discuss why an UNARMED person is MURDERED and no charges brought or "official" investigative report released regarding the congressional employed shooter?

Care to discuss why the "victims" seem to have control of the Court proceedings, the bail/housing/treatment process, and isolation of the accused persons?

Yes, there are a lot more issues the Fair-minded citizens still want answers to. But it seems there is NO public access for your voters.

Should the Guilty serve time ... YES!
Should the trial be as PUBLIC as OJ's .... YES!
Should the Public get FULL Access to ALL evidence ...YES!
Should Congress get to meddle in the court/Legal process ... NO!

#1  You can basically look at any GOPe stooge who is all in for draconian treatment of the Jan. 6 people as less pandering to the center-left than they are terrified of the hard-left.
