Pres. Trump decided against firing FBI director Christopher Wray for not doing enough to investigate Obama 'spying claims' because Bill Barr threatened to quit
2021-05-24
[MAIL] President Donald Trump decided against firing the FBI director he appointed, Christopher Wray, after Attorney General Bill Barr threatened to quit.

Politico was out with new details about the incident Thursday, reporting that in April 2020 Trump came the closest to ousting Wray, who he felt was weak.

Wray frustrated Trump whenever he defended the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which the ex-president felt enabled 'spying' on his 2016 campaign.

Trump would also get angry with Wray whenever he gave testimony about Russia and when he talked about election security.

#10  Government needs to be shrunk drastically.
Those that brake the law need to face prison.

#9  It has been proven now that the man had no chance anyway. Everybody has snafus, but he was targeted from the beginning by the ones ruling now and their loyalists. To the elite, democracy itself had failed when it delivered a pragmatic everyman President into office. And they all conspired together to correct it.

#8  The WHOLE of government types are part of a massive shadowy, corrupt enterprise. Trump at first managed to get past these people and into the Oval Office for a short time but they made sure the outsider was out ASAP.

#7  I meant to refer to Barr as that sorry SOB, but got to hitting the keys too rapidly. My apologies.

#6  I suspect the Orange Man figured if Barr resigned, Durham would follow him out the door. Truth be known (and it so seldom is), knowing wat he knows today, Trump would have fired Barr the instant he threatened to walk.

#4  And the Durham Report churns away somewhere...drifting into the misty memory hole as the coup strengthens.

#2  Trump trusted people he never should have, Barr being one of them.

#1  So, Trump made a few mistakes.
