#5 Procopius2k I agree and would add. Sentences for Physically abusive crimes should be directly related the method the criminal inflected on the victim. 1st 3 to 5 years to reflect on the pain and suffering caused. 2nd Application of the related punishment: Broken bone(s), Blinded, beat up, maimed, disfigured, Infected, set on fire, shot, stabbed, strangled, buried alive and etc.. Punishment in-kind sure would have a lot less violent crimes. ☺☻ In this case doused gas and lit up. |

#1 What we do know is the victim was a White male. Zayvion Perry, 16 & Adriel Riley Jr, 14 are both Black Teens. An the media is going out of its way to AVOID saying it was a Black on White Hate crime. Quoting Bob Lonsberry @ WHAM 13 News. “In a world where everything anymore seems to be about race, nobody wanted to mention the fact that the teens where Black and the old man was White, and they watched him burn a bit, after they sprayed him and lit him, and they told him to say it was two White guys who did it," and he added, “Nobody will ask if it was a hate crime." Note: "Riley the 14 y/o was already on release for a violent felony charge at the time of the recent incident. His arrest history is sealed by Family Court because of his age. |
