| #4 Had a christmas tree there for decades. It came in our household shipment under the inventory item " holiday bush" and rolled up in a carpet. Lots of ornaments and lights too. 10 feet tall. Many homes had lights on the outside eaves and even roof tops too. It was unknown to the outside world until '90 / '91 came along. Christmas tree circle was probably the ONLY place in the world where we had a real nativity each year. Real Camel, real goats, real child in a manger, real desert, real hay, real people in correct garb, real everything. It was just off M street. Christmas was a huge event. A few Saudis came over and celebrated with us families over the years. It was good. Then in later years it became awful...... such is life. |
