You are all simply paid performers on a stage and that field is my stage! |
2020-10-09 |
[Rense] KC Chiefs NFL Football team info CEO and Owner Clark Hunt of the Kansas City Chiefs http://rense.com/general96/clarkhunt.jpg Mr. Hunt called a meeting with all of his Coaches, Players and field staff and firmly told them, "You are all simply paid performers on a stage and that field is my stage! You will stand, with your hand over your heart and with respect, when our Country's National Anthem is being played or you will no longer be a Kansas City Chief, a Coach for the Kansas City Chiefs or have any association with the Chiefs Organization! I will immediately fire you, no matter who you are! You can make your political statements off the field, but when you're employed by me and I'm signing your check, I demand that you make our fans proud and not embarrass them." |

#16 Re# 5: "I'd rather he told his players to simply act professionally - it's a hell of a lot tougher to criticize that opinion." When have they ever acted professionally? |

#15 B1G also starting up again soon, thanks to Trump and the pressure campaign mounted by the players & their parents |

#14 Might be wishful thinking though. Still, making those players choose between BLM and their lucrative careers would be fun. |

#11 Too late. They showed their, as it were, true colors. Now I'd rather mow the grass with finger nail clippers than watch their strutting. |

#9 We are routinely told (with glee, by the usual suspects) that social media like Fartbork and Sh*ttah are free to censor any way they please because they are a private business. This is different exactly how? Hmmmm? |

#8 The obvious thing that never seems to come up is these people are at work. Who else gets to initiate their working interaction with a political statement? The Jiffy Lube guys or your accountant, bartender or waitress, not so much. I'm pretty sure they have strong feeling about a lot of things too. Couple that with the glaring fact the athlete class has a cottage industry devoted their every move and moronic utterance on and off field and court. |

#6 I just hope the TV ratings keep going lower and lower. |

#5 I'd rather he told his players to simply act professionally - it's a hell of a lot tougher to criticize that opinion. |

#3 This is eminently sensible and clear-headed policy in a time of madness, so I'm going with Bee. |

#2 Player's decision. Alright, sounds like a common sense option. Please choose wisely. Hat tip to Mr. Hunt. |
