Gov. Cuomo Praises Heroes of New York
2020-09-08
And it ain't the Gov.
[MSN] "New York State will go down in the history books as the place that beat back COVID," he said in a video released Monday. "And when they write those history books, the heroes of the battle will be the hardworking families of New York."

The comments came as the state marked a month with a COVID infection rate reported below 1%, according to the governor’s office.
1% of the State of New York, as compared to 0.75% for the entire country? Brag on, Gov!
Even with the outbreak apparently under control, New York State still has the highest death toll in the country — 25,361 fatalities as of Sunday, not including cases in which the victim had not been diagnosed with the virus before their death.

"The heroes of the COVID war are not the elite. They’re not the most well off. The heroes were the hardworking, talented and principled women and men of labor," Cuomo said, lavishing praise upon transportation workers, first responders and others.
Deflecting attention from his failures, to be sure.
"In my book, they have always been the heroes because they have always been essential to building this nation," added the governor, who recently got a deal to write a non-metaphorical book about the coronavirus crisis.
A book deal for Gov. Cuomo? I am amazed!

#2  ^What about restaurants run by people who contributed to his election campaign?

p.s. You can only have less that 1% positives if your tests have probability of less 0.01 for false positive. Or, you fiddling the results.

#1  64% of NYC restaurants warn they will be forced to permanently close this year as Cuomo again fails to offer up indoor dining plan for the city despite infection rate remaining below 1% after 31 days
