#3 There's a sauna in the station at the South Pole. (Scandinavian influence, no doubt.) I'm told that winter-overs have a 300-degree club. When the temp outdoors is -100, the participants crank the sauna up to 200, and then run outside naked. Briefly. I don't think I could stand either extreme... |

#1 Of course there is less "twinkling" in Antarctica. Al least outside, where your stream freezes even before it hits the ground. |
