| #4 The Constitution places the District of Columbia under the jurisdiction of Congress (Article I, Section 8, paragraph 17), which the Democrats have ceded (without amending the Constitution) to the "local government". Trump should declare whatever actions the legislature took as unconstitutional, declare Martial Law in the area, and bring in five or six brigades of National Guard from all over the nation to reassert sovereignty over the Federal territory. The Democrats will of course scream, but Trump holds ALL the high ground on this case. |
